The Dinner Detective Show

Company: Clearly Confused Entertainment Inc.          Role: Cast of 7, rotating roles (on going shows/active)

Consistently serves as the show’s lead—either Host-Detective, Host, or Detective—driving the arc, managing audience energy, and landing the reveal in a fully improvised, fourth-wall-light environment. I handle cold opens, crowd work, and live clue drops while adjusting tone to the room (corporate events, birthdays, walk-ins), keeping the timeline on rails for kitchen/service cues. My improv is status-aware and collaborative: I build clean offers, protect scene partners, and fold audience curveballs into the mystery without derailing story logic. Beyond the base script, I customize transitions and button lines for a more natural voice, and I often replace the traditional summation speech with a short parody song that hits the case beats rhythmically—high retention, strong laugh density, and a memorable close that still cues the reveal cleanly. Operationally: I coordinate with FOH/BOH, call light/sound moments, track prop integrity, and reset evidence between beats. Under pressure (late starts, technical hiccups, unexpectedly rowdy tables), I keep the room safe, engaged, and moving—balancing authority and play so guests feel seen, not singled out. The result is a tight, repeatable show that reads spontaneous, delivers comedic payoff, and honors the brand’s format while showcasing a distinct performance style.

Skills

As a dynamic and versatile performer, I bring a wide range of skills that allow me to step into any role with confidence and authenticity. My diverse background and experience have equipped me with the following talents that make me a valuable asset to any production:

Improvisation Mastery

Book the guy who can save a scene in real time. As the lead host/detective with The Dinner Detective, I build story on the fly, fold audience curveballs into the arc, and keep the timeline on rails—without breaking character or safety. I read the room fast (status, energy, boundaries), shift tone from warm banter to firm control, and protect scene partners while landing comedic and narrative beats. On camera, I apply the same discipline: clean offers, active listening, precise eyelines, and repeatable choices that cut. The result is spontaneous, truthful moments that feel alive—and still make your editor’s day.

Strong Public Speaking & Communication

Briefed by the Air Force, honed on set. As a former Staff Sergeant, I’m calm under pressure and clear when it counts. I can command a room without volume, shape emphasis so complex copy lands, and adjust instantly to direction—authority for corporate, warmth for lifestyle, dry edge for comedy. Strong mic technique, breath control, and pacing keep performances engaging and repeatable across takes. You get a dependable communicator who lifts the material, respects the clock, and delivers the read you can build around.

Firearms Expertise

As a former U.S. Air Force Staff Sergeant, I bring authentic weapons-handling discipline and a calm, procedural mindset to every action beat—without ever freelancing safety. I treat every prop or replica as live until it’s cleared, follow the armorer, 1st AD, and stunt team to the letter, and never bring personal weapons to set. The goal is simple: credibility in frame, professionalism off camera, and an environment where cast and crew feel secure.

On camera, I give you the posture, economy of motion, and situational awareness the lens reads as real—law enforcement, military, private security, or a civilian under duress—while keeping choreography repeatable for coverage. I maintain consistent muzzle orientation, eyelines, and reload business so continuity holds across angles and pickups. If anything in the setup changes, I communicate up the chain, request a re-clear, and adjust precisely to direction. You get action that looks right, cuts clean, and respects the clock.

Under pressure—tight spaces, night shoots, complex blocking—I stay composed, communicative, and focused on the team. My military background instilled non-negotiables I live by: the armorer’s call is final; finger off the trigger unless the take and safety call require it; never sweep cast or crew; and safety beats speed, every time. Book me when you want an actor who delivers grounded, tactical authenticity and keeps your set professional from first rehearsal to final take.

User-Generated Content (UGC) Creation

I create polished, platform-native UGC that looks and feels organic while hitting a brand’s goals. From quick hooks to clean CTAs, I understand short-form storytelling—what stops the scroll, how to pace benefits, and where to land proof before the ask. I script, self-direct, and deliver multiple hook/angle variants so editors have options, and I keep performances conversational and credible (direct-to-lens, teleprompter when needed, or loose improv for authenticity). My workflow covers the whole pipeline: brief → beatsheet → shoot → light edit → captions → delivery with tidy file naming. I tailor aspect ratios (9:16, 1:1, 16:9), safe-zone framing for in-app UI, and clean audio that mixes easily.

I’m gear-ready (controlled lighting, broadcast mic, 4K option, hardwired internet) and comfortable matching brand voice—informational, friendly expert, or dry humor. I can integrate product demos, before/afters, try-ons, and testimonial styles without sounding “ad-y,” and I’m meticulous about continuity so cutdowns stitch seamlessly. For social-integrated productions, I turn around self-tapes fast, supply alt reads and thumbnails, and respect usage, whitelisting, and FTC disclosure requirements. Bottom line: you get native-feeling content that’s easy to post, easy to cut, and built to convert—delivered by a performer who keeps the process smooth, professional, and on schedule.

Adaptability & Range

What sets me apart is usable versatility. I move cleanly between quiet menace and warm everyman, sharp professional and offbeat comic—without losing truth. Military roles benefit from my Air Force background (posture, economy, chain-of-command), while quirky supporting characters get specific physicality and timing that play in wide and still hold up in close-up. My process is actor-first and editor-friendly: quick text analysis, clear objectives, calibrated stakes, and micro-shifts in voice and behavior that read on camera. I take direction fast, offer precise alts (grounded / heightened / dry), and maintain continuity—eyelines, props, and business—so every adjustment cuts. Whether the brief is drama, thriller, or light comedy, I show up prepared, collaborate smoothly, and deliver performances that feel lived-in and expandable, making me a dependable piece you can plug anywhere in the cast.

Professionalism & Reliability

You get an actor who makes the day easier. I show up early, prepared, and ready to collaborate—taking direction precisely, offering clean alts when asked, and protecting continuity so edits cut. My Air Force background hard-wired punctuality, chain-of-command respect, and calm under pressure; my lead work in murder mystery dinner theatre sharpened live problem-solving, crowd management, and timeline control. I keep comms crisp with directors, ADs, and departments, hit marks, and stay solutions-first when plans change. Cast me and you can count on a teammate who’s dependable, low-maintenance, and laser-focused on delivering what the story and schedule need.
